There are no “have tos” in birth, there are only medical recommendations and a birthing woman’s informed choice.
Doctors & midwives can make recommendations but you can make an informed choice about whatever is being recommended to you.
If your baby is breech, there is no such thing as you 'have to' have a hospital birth or in (sadly) many hospitals a planned C-section, if you are 42 weeks there is no such thing as 'have to' be induced and if you have received an epidural you do not 'have to' receive continuous foetal monitoring.
In my hypnobirthing course I help mum and dads to be to obtain and remain in the optimal mental state for childbirth and leading up to that experience.
Speak about your birth choices in a way that keeps the power with YOU: Ask questions, make an informed choice and never feel pressured into making a reflex decision.
I help all of my lovely clients keep their birth power - You can choose to consult anyone (medical or otherwise) to obtain as much information as you can and then you are able to make an informed choice about whether or not to follow those recommendations.
Your Baby, Your Body, Your Birth Experience = YOUR CHOICE
